The first step is to confirm that the waste was produced in one of the 19 municipalities in Valorsul's area of intervention.

Then you need to fill in one of the two discharge request forms available on our website under forms.

Please note that the form will ask you for the European Waste List (EWL) code that best suits the waste you hold, as well as its designation and quantity. See below for the waste codes accepted at each Valorsul facility. If your waste does not fit the LER codes accepted at Valorsul, you should consult the Portuguese Environment Agency to determine the most appropriate destination for the waste.

After submitting the form, Valorsul will send you a written reply (preferably to the e-mail address provided). The reply may take between 2 and 10 working days.

If the reply indicates that authorisation has been granted, it will mention the facility where the waste is to be deposited, the unloading time and the disposal fee. If the answer is no, the reason for the refusal will be given. In this case, you can contact the Portuguese Environment Agency (Tel.: 214 728 200).
This authorisation will remain valid until the end of the current year for all the times that the same entity needs to deposit waste with the same characteristics, as long as there are no changes to the data provided.
On the day of disposal, the e-GAR, which has been compulsory since 1 January 2018, must be presented in digital form at the ordinance. To fill in the e-GAR, you must register on the SILIAMB platform.

Payment is made at the time of disposal, by cheque or cash, unless agreed with our Administration and Finance Department. Recyclable waste is deposited free of charge at the Ecocentres and Sorting Centres.

NOTE: due to the lack of surplus capacity at the Waste To Energy Plant (WTE)*, the reception of waste from private entities has been suspended for an indefinite period.
